Christmas Angels
We’ve been inspired by what a church in Eccles did last Christmas to bless their community and would like to explore the possibility of doing something similar this year.
Christmas Angels involves asking the local community to nominate people they know who might appreciate a little gift at Christmas. Maybe someone who has had a hard year or someone who is always looking out for others. Volunteers then buy and deliver a gift to those individuals nominated.
It’s a simple project, which has been proven to make a big impact.
If you would be willing to buy and/or deliver a gift for those who are nominated, please let Ian know.
Remembrance Sunday
Sunday 12 November • 10.30am • St. James Hope
Because St James want to be able to mark the 2 minute silence at 11am on Remembrance Sunday, we have a joint service on that day, beginning at 10.30am. Together with Pentecost Sunday this is the time when we come to worship together. It might feel different, but we are glad to do it to show our gratitude to St James church and to honour them.
Newcomers Lunch
Sunday 12 November • 12.30pm • The Vine Community Hub
On Sunday 12 November after the morning service – around 12.30, we will be holding a newcomers’ lunch at The Vine. If you are new to the church, or still feel new, you are welcome to come and join us. It’s a chance to get to know one another, and for you to hear a bit more about our church. You can sign up for this at the Info Point at the back of the church.
Christmas is Coming, Let’s Pray!
Thursday 16 November • 7pm • St. James Hope
Christmas is the time when we see more of our families, when we spend more social time with colleagues at work, when churches are busy serving their communities in a range of ways. It’s a time of joy and stress. On this evening a number of the Salford churches are coming together to pray that we will see God working amongst us and through us with all the opportunities that this season gives us as Christians.
Autumn Walk
Saturday 18 November • 2pm • Clifton Country Park
On the afternoon of 18 November, there’s a chance to go on an easy autumn walk together. It’s suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness. We will meet at 2pm at Clifton Country Park.

Carol Singing at The Lowry
Sunday 3 December • 2.15pm-3.30pm • Lowry Shopping Mall
Last year around 60 people from different churches got together to sing carols at the Makers’ Market at the Lowry. It was a great time, easy, enjoyable and fun. Lots of us sang, others gave out sweets, others stopped and chatted to the shoppers. If you came last year, come again. If you didn’t, come this time!
