At Salford Elim, children and young people are an important part of our church family. Our heart is to create welcoming spaces where they can have fun, build friendships, explore faith, and grow in their relationship with God.
Babies & Toddlers
For the youngest members of our church family (up to 18 months), there is space at the back of the church where parents and carers are welcome to take their little ones at any point during the service.
During our Sunday services, children aged 18 months to Reception are invited to join our creche in the church hall. Through play, songs, or stories, our team helps children begin to discover God’s love in a safe and caring environment. Parents are welcome to stay until everyone feels comfortable.
Foundations
(Sunday Morning Children & Youth Groups)
When we meet together as a church on Sunday mornings, children have opportunity to come over to the church hall and join Foundations. Together, we learn about God in ways that are engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate. Through games, activities, discussion, Bible teaching, and prayer, we aim to help children develop a strong foundation of faith while having fun and building friendships.
Our desire is that every child knows they are loved by God, valued by our church family, and encouraged to grow in confidence as they discover more about Jesus.
Youth
Our youth ministry helps young people explore faith in a way that is relevant, honest, and practical. Through discussion, Bible study, reflection, prayer, and shared experiences, we encourage young people to ask questions, grow in their understanding of God, and develop a faith that is their own.
Alongside Foundations, we offer the following youth ministries:

Roots
Roots is a fortnightly, Zoom-based Bible study for young people in Years 7–9. Through discussion, reflection, and prayer, we help young people engage with God’s Word, build friendships, and grow in their faith together.

Connect & Reflect
Connect & Reflect is a Bible group for Years 9—11 & those in college. Through discussion and reflection, we explore how God’s Word applies to everyday life, helping young people grow in faith, build friendships, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
College Age & Young Adults
For older teenagers and young adults, we provide opportunities to connect, build community, and grow in faith together through Breathe.
Find out more about Breathe and Breathe Deeper here.
Families
Throughout the year we host a variety of family-friendly events and celebrations for the local community. These may include seasonal events, family activities, and opportunities for children and families to connect with others in a fun and welcoming environment.
If you’d like to find out more about any of our children’s or youth ministries, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch at Susie@salfordelimchurch.org.
