Reading through the Bible you can’t help but notice that God speaks and that His word is able to be heard.
But many of us find it hard to be confident about that happening for us. We feel it would sound presumptuous, or just plain daft.
Even when we believe God is not a mumbling trickster, but one with a clear voice who longs to communicate with His people, we feel that we must have grown deaf.
So how does God speak, and how can we be sure we can hear? And if He spoke to us, what might He say?
Our Tuning In series will look at some of the biblical approaches to recognising God’s voice, and what we can do to tune into it.
9 January: Tune in to God (John 14:15-21)
16 January: Tune in to the skies (Psalm 19, Psalm 8)
23 January: Tune in to the Active Word (Psalm 143)
30 January: Tune in to the Unexpected (Acts 10)
6 February: Tune in for Others (1 Corinthians 14:1-19)
13 February: Tune in to Circumstances (Acts 16:6-10)
20 February: And when we cannot tune in (Psalms 130 and 131)
