Sometimes we equate happiness with joy, but they’re not the same thing, and they spring from different sources – one from the world around us, and one originates from the Spirit.
And some days we find it difficult to find joy, and we listen to the whispers that say life’s never going to turn out the way hope it would, and that dulls our joy.
But we’re called to rejoice in the Lord. Even in trials, the joy of the Lord will stop a descent into despair.
