Psalm 2 is like a bucket of cold water thrown on anyone who thinks prayer is about retreat, serenity and comfort. It sets prayer in the midst of governmental policies and public life.
God is not an escape from all this, he is central to it.
And the resurrection and ascension of Jesus testifies to the fact that he wants to use us in the difficult places where the kingdom of God needs to be proclaimed.
