Ceilidh at Salford Elim

Saturday 11th October, 6pm

It’s time to dust off your dancing shoes again, because we’re having an autumn ceilidh in church!

This is a great event to invite friends and family to come and meet the church in full flow!

Not sure what a ceilidh is? Here’s a short video from last year’s ceilidh.

Outline for the evening

By 6pm: Arrive and bring food
6pm: Music and dancing
6.30pm: Food
7.30pm: Music and dancing
8.30pm: Finish

We would ask for a £2 contribution to the cost of the band.

Men’s Walk

Saturday 4th October, 8.30am

We thought we should get one more walk organised before autumn & winter kicks in. The plan is to meet up outside church at 8.30, and then drive up to Malham, in the Yorkshire Dales.

The walk itself will start with a visit to Janet’s Foss waterfall, then onto Gordale Scar & Malham Tarn, and then finally Malham Cove (in total about 7 miles/3 hours).

Then we’ll find a pub for a drink, before returning back to Salford for the mid-afternoon.

For more details, and to let us know you’re coming, visit facebook.com/SalfordElim/events, speak to Phil, or send him an email.

Parentalk Live!

Thursday 16th October, 7.30pm-10.00pm

Parentalk Live is an evening with Rob Parsons and Katharine Hill that aims to encourage and support parents of children up to the early teens, which will be held at King’s Church on Oxford Road, Manchester.

Care for the Family have given themselves for years to the task of helping generations of parents find encouragement and practical ways of helping families grow up together.

This evening will look at issues such as communication with your children, setting boundaries, helping them grow in safe independence, building strong bonds that will help top prepare you for the teenage years.

The cost of the evening is just £5, and tickets can be booked here.
