Sermons
Between now and the end of April we will be looking at Philippians together. This is a church that was doing so much right and Paul was cheering them on to keep going: in loving one another, in shining like stars in the darkness; in generosity; in living their faith. Let’s hear him do the same for us.
And if you missed a sermon from our Amos series, you can catch up with them all here.
Easter 2016
Thursday 24 March – Doubt Night
Aa chance for us to think through how we deal with our doubts and the value of doubt. It happens to all of us. How can we get the best of it?
This evening is for us in the church, but is also open to people who don’t come to church, but do want to grapple with how to make sense of life.
Good Friday – 25 March
There will be an hour’s service at 9.30-10.30 and then the church will stay open for those who want to spend some time praying either on their own or with others.
Easter Sunday – Resurrection Day
We will be worshipping together as normal at 10.30.
Social Events
We are organising a number of events where we can spend time together in a relaxed way.
On Saturday 2 April we will be having an all-age accessible spring walk at Dunham Massey from 2pm. Meet at church at 1.15 if you want to go together.
On Sunday 3 July, we will take a picnic to Light Oaks park, sunbathe and play games.
On Saturday 22 October there will be a Family Film Night.
At the end of Nov/ early Dec we will have a ‘posh’ Christmas Dinner somewhere.
Church Weekend Away
We are going to have another church weekend away this year on 23-25 September. It will be at Cefn Lea, mid-Wales. The cost will be subsidised by the church from the Gift Aid rebate we get.
The costs will be:
- Adults and young people aged 14+: £50 each
- 11-13 year olds: £35
- 8-10 years: £25
- 3-7 years: £10
- 2 and under: free
We want as many to come as possible.
If you can contribute a little more, we will be able to help people who might struggle.
If you think you will struggle to pay, talk to us. We want you with us!
