For those of you who haven’t been before our away day is based at an activity centre called Barnstondale on the Wirral. We have use of a meeting room, dinning room, outside play area, football pitch and sports hall. There is plenty of free time during the day to fellowship, go for a walk in the woods, do craft and play games. In case you want to have a look at the centre in more detail take a look at their website.
If you can with the children’s activities either 5-16 year olds or the crèche for younger children please speak to Morag or Kate.
Important information
- Cost – £20 for adults and £10 for children 6-18.
- You will need to bring a packed lunch but the evening meal is provided (fish and chip van with a variety of options (not all fish-related) including gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options).
- Lifts- please try and sort this out for yourself but if you’re struggling talk to Kate.
- Possible need for stout shoes if you plan on walking in the woods. Kids may need a change of clothes if they follow my children into the river.

10am – arrive tea and biscuits
10:30am-12:30pm – kids activities/adult main meeting
12:30pm-1:30pm – lunch
1:30pm-2:30pm – all ages together
2:30pm – tea break/cake
3pm-4pm – craft/walk/games etc
4:15pm-5:15pm – worship session
5:30pm – fish and chip van
6:30pm – final prayer and blessing then home
