Advent: Hope (Day 3)

Hope

My picture represents a wreath.

Theologians have suggested that Jesus was born in the spring, based on the biblical narrative that shepherds were watching over their flocks in the fields on the night of Jesus’ birth – something they would have done in the spring, not the winter.

I love the spring and always feel it heralds a fresh start or new beginning. Just as the advent or expectation of the new Messiah is to fulfil our hope that God through His Son will show a new way to live and worship.

In some Christian denominations, blue is a colour representing hope.

That’s a really lovely thought Janet. Love the colours in your painting. At times when everything seems to be failing we always have hope. It starts even before Christ’s birth and climaxes in the Ressurection. Every blessing Marlene
