An Opportunity To Hear Baroness Caroline Cox.
‘Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.’
Proverbs 31v8
Baroness Cox has deliberately chosen causes overlooked by the world at large. She has put her life at risk on a great many occasions in places as varied as Sudan, Burma, Nagorno Karabakh and Russia. Whether buying the freedom of slaves in Sudan or inspiring the establishment of Russia’s first humane, professional service for the care of orphans, she always chooses to ‘speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.’ As a deputy speaker of the House of Lords, she is a significant voice in government for persecuted minorities across the world.
‘A woman of amazing energy, patent faith, and commitment on a grand scale.’
